Biography

Born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, Aubrey Winter developed an independent streak and a somewhat unconventional outlook on life from an early age. Never particularly interested in being the center of attention, she preferred observing the people around her and developed the dry, understated sense of humor that would eventually become one of her defining characteristics. After graduating from high school, Aubrey attended college, studying public administration and recreation management. Although she had never imagined herself pursuing a career in local government, she discovered an unexpected interest in the planning and operation of public facilities and community programs.

Aubrey began her professional career working in municipal recreation services, gaining experience with facility operations, program coordination, and the administrative responsibilities of local government. Her ability to recognize problems and develop practical solutions earned her increasing responsibility, even if her occasionally sarcastic observations sometimes caught coworkers off guard. In 2016, she accepted a position with the Falcon Hollow Parks & Recreation Department, bringing her experience to a smaller community where she could become more directly involved in departmental operations. Over the following years, she established herself as a capable administrator and eventually earned the position of department director.

As director, Aubrey oversees Falcon Hollow's parks, recreational facilities, and community programming, working with town officials, maintenance crews, and local organizations to keep the department operating efficiently. She prefers straightforward conversations, realistic budgets, and solutions that actually work rather than lengthy meetings about what might be possible. Her reserved personality and deadpan humor have become familiar to those who work with her, although newcomers occasionally have difficulty determining whether she is joking. Beneath that exterior, however, Aubrey takes considerable pride in maintaining the town's public spaces and ensuring its recreational programs serve the people who use them.

Today, Aubrey has become a familiar presence in Falcon Hollow's municipal operations, coordinating everything from seasonal community events to improvements at local parks and recreational facilities. She is comfortable working behind the scenes and rarely seeks recognition for the department's accomplishments, preferring to let the results speak for themselves. While she may occasionally question the enthusiasm surrounding another committee meeting or community initiative, she is usually among the first to make sure the necessary work gets done. Falcon Hollow may not be where she grew up, but it has become home, and Aubrey has developed a genuine attachment to the town and the people who live there.
