Biography

Teresa “Tess” Granger developed an early fascination with both photography and technology. Cameras gave her a way to capture the details she noticed around her, while computers and digital media offered new ways to organize, preserve, and share those images. By the time she reached college, Tess already knew she wanted to build a career around visual storytelling.

After earning her degree in digital media and photography, Tess began developing a portfolio centered on people, communities, and the everyday moments that give a place its identity. That work eventually led her to the Falcon Hollow Gazette, which was looking for a photojournalist capable of bringing a strong visual perspective to its reporting. Tess accepted the position and quickly became a familiar sight around town, camera in hand at everything from community festivals and school events to breaking news.

Although photography was the job she was hired to do, Tess's technical abilities soon found other uses in the Gazette newsroom. She gradually took on more responsibility for the newspaper's website, social media, and digital archives, helping modernize its online presence while preserving the character of the traditional weekly paper. Her combination of visual instincts and technical skills has made her an important bridge between the Gazette's printed history and its digital future.

Now living in Falcon Hollow, Tess remains single and deeply invested in documenting the community she has come to call home. At five-foot-seven, with long black hair and brown eyes, she is often easier to recognize by the camera she carries than by her press credentials. For Tess, photography isn't simply about illustrating what happened. It's about preserving the moments people may someday want to remember—and making sure Falcon Hollow's story can be seen as well as read.
